Jon Reaves is a Texas trial lawyer and co-founder of Reaves & Lee, PLLC, a Dallas–Fort Worth law firm focused on personal injury and consumer bankruptcy litigation. Through the firm’s Hammerhead Motorcycle Lawyers brand, Jon channels years of courtroom experience—and a lifelong love of motorcycles—into representing riders and other injury victims across North Texas.
Jon’s practice centers on personal injury litigation, including auto and motorcycle collisions, workplace injuries, premises liability, and other negligence-based claims. He tries cases when necessary and builds every file with the assumption it may go to a jury. Clients trust Jon for his direct communication, strategic focus, and willingness to push back against insurance companies that undervalue claims.
Before launching Reaves & Lee, Jon represented injury people at two large Texas injury firms. There, he began by handling high-volume motor vehicle crash claims before transitioning to more complex litigation involving catastrophic injuries and contested liability. That work sharpened both his litigation instincts and his ability to develop compelling narratives that connect with juries.
Jon’s legal career began in the bankruptcy field, where he worked inside one of the state’s largest consumer bankruptcy practices. That background gives him a deep appreciation for how physical injuries often lead to financial instability—and how legal representation must account for both.
He earned his bachelor’s degree in economics from West Texas A&M University and graduated from UNT Dallas College of Law. Today, Jon leads the firm’s personal injury litigation group while staying closely connected to the riding community he proudly serves.
